Our Story
Cameron and I both love everything about Health & Fitness. Over the years we have slowly built up our skills to follow our dream of helping others transform their mind and bodies and live a much healthier and happy life.
This hasn't always been the case as not so long ago I was an unfit, packet a day smoker and a very big drinker. Exercise for me consisted of the occasional walk and running was just out of the question. I really believed that I just wasn't one of those "naturally" fit people and as such, never really pushed myself out of my comfort zone. As a result, I was always slightly overweight and definitely far from healthy!
Today is a different story, eight years ago I gave up smoking which was just the start. I realised that if I could kick such a big habit then there was no reason I couldn't achieve more. I went on to train hard and was a regular at the gym, although still never managed to achieve the body I had always wanted. It was only after seeking the support of an online trainer that I realised that although I was training hard, I didn't have all of the components in place to really make those final changes I had been striving for. I needed to clean up my nutrition and truly start believing in myself and that it was possible to truly change. For 12 weeks I trained hard, ate well and really did my best. What resulted was not just a great, fit body but the belief in myself that I could truly achieve whatever I set my mind to.
With the support of my wonderful hubby Cam we went on to undertake studies in Nutrition and gained our qualifications as Personal Trainers. I have since gone on to compete in Sports Model at the INBA (placed 3rd) and in 2004 Cameron gained his qualifications as a black belt martial arts instructor.
For us it is important to practice what we preach and continue to push ourselves in our training and are always trying new routines and challenges to ensure we can offer our clients a variety of training options. We not only conduct online training, we also have one on one personal training clients and we will be opening our own private studio in Cairns in 2009. We offer a fun and motivating experience to all our clients and with Cameron's marital arts background and my love for the outdoors, we live a healthy and active life, hopefully encouraging others to do the same!
Most of all, we simply love to enjoy life. If you train hard and eat well the majority of the time, you still have plenty of room to enjoy those special treats and enjoy all of the good things life has to offer! IT'S ALL ABOUT BALANCE!
If we can motivate just a few others to change their habits and create a healthy life, then it is all worthwhile! Who could ask for a better job!
