As you know, no two people are the same and this is why it is vital to get a program designed just for you. It doesn’t matter whether you want to train at home with little equipment or have access to a full gym. Your program will be designed around what you have and what you want to achieve.
The first step is to fill in our questionnaire (DOC) | (PDF), the more information you can provide the better! We need to know what your daily routine is like and what you really want to achieve before we can begin to put together a program for you. Remember this is your journey and YOUR PROGRAM, so get the most out of it!
The Results program is focussed on getting big results in 12 Weeks. As such your program will include a combination of resistance training, cardio exercises and a nutrition plan. These three components are vital to achieving a toned, fit, healthy body.
Resistance training is an important element as we all strive for that toned body although many women steer away from weight training in the fear they will end up bulky. Let me tell you, weight training is the best thing I ever did and without it I would have never achieved a toned, fit looking body. For years I focussed on endless cardio and silly diets and thought it would get me the body I had always strived for. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I ended up burnt out, tired and really no different than before I started my cardio marathons. At very best I was a smaller version of my former self although still had big thighs and bum! Weight training helps to build muscle and in turn revs up your metabolism enabling us to eat more and get that toned look we all strive for. To begin with your program might consist of a few basic resistance exercises to get you started, a Swiss ball and a set of dumbbells can be enough to do a whole workout at home, plus there are lots of body weight exercises that don’t even require any equipment. Or you might be ready to take your resistance training to the next level and we can design a program to challenge and help you progress to where you need to be, you let us know what YOU WANT!
Cardiovascular exercise is any exercise that gets the oxygen moving around your body and can greatly improve your general day to day fitness and make you feel so much better. Depending on your level of fitness your program will include a mixture of high and low intensity cardio. Cardio exercise doesn’t need to be fancy and access to a local park or a walking track can be enough to get you started or if you have been training for years you may want to really mix thing up. Remember everyone starts somewhere, only 10 years ago I was a packet a day smoker and only dreamed of being able to run, now I've run a marathon and turned into an RPM junkie, anything is possible if you want it badly enough. Sometimes if you have been doing the same thing for months/years on end our bodies adapt and therefore stop progressing, this is why you need to continue to change and challenge yourself during your workouts. We also make sure we update your program whenever it is needed.
Your nutrition program is a very important element in achieving results. Your nutrition plan will include a mixture of Carbohydrates, Protein, Fruit, Vegies, dairy and good fats, no food group is eliminated. Depending on your existing eating habits and your food tolerances we will put together a program suited to you. It doesn't matter if you are a vegetarian, lactose or gluten intolerant we will design a nutrition program specifically for you and we will work with you and tweak your nutrition plan as needed. Your nutrition plan will also teach you how to put together good food combinations and quick and easy meals. The goal is to not only lose the weight but to have learnt good nutritional habits which will stick with you for long after the 12 weeks have finished. And don’t panic there’s always room for a couple of treats incorporated into your weekly plan! Remember, this needs to become a way of life.
And the most important element of all, YOUR MIND! The only thing stopping you from achieving your dream body is the belief that you can. If you don’t think you will reach your goals, you won’t, you truly need to believe you can change and you will. We all have self beliefs that we think are true but are they really? Are you really destined to have big thighs for the rest of your life just because your Mum does? You may think that you can’t run, is this fact or just that you think you can’t run? It's amazing how much our mind can affect the way we live and the decisions we make, throughout your journey we will work with you to challenge those beliefs and really show you that anything is possible if you want it badly enough.
The Results Program includes unlimited feedback as we want to hear from you all the time. We have found the most successful people are the ones who keep in regular contact and let us know how they are going, both good and bad. The idea of an Online Personal Trainer is to give you greater access to your trainer so you can email us whenever you need to. It is normal to experience a bad day or week but the key is to keep going regardless. So when those doubts creep in or you think it’s all too hard we will be here to motivate, encourage and guide you through. We don’t expect you to be perfect but simply do the best you can every single day!
