About Me

Hilde

I'm a 32 year old health & fitness fanatic! I run "Get Active Online" with my wonderful hubby Cam and when I'm not training others I'm off flying all over the countryside as a Flight Attendant. I strongly believe in practicing what I preach so this blog is all about my personal health & fitness journey, plus lots of good training & nutrition info.

If you have a question you want answered or just want to say hi, please leave me a comment.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

DAY 5

March 06, 2010 at 08:07:30

DAILY UPDATE:
Lovely Day!

MOOD:
Felt pretty good, a bit tired but knowing it was Friday and the weekend was ahead helped. Feeling good that I've managed to have a great week and it's starting to become routine now!

FOOD:
Great, 2 extra almonds slipped in but the rest of the day was spot on and I even had my treat meal, and it was good!

TRAINING:
Started early with my Sprint Training. Felt really good and finished no 10 sprint in the same time I did number 1. Heart rate was screaming but then I worked out why it was saying I was burning a zillion calories, it was still set on Cam's stats, bugger! (wish I burnt that many calories in a session!).

Lunch time: WEIGHTS, again felt great, really strong and nearly went up in all my weights. I think the consistency with doing the same routine and the creatine is making a big difference.

WATER: Lots! Sorry I didn't count exatly but knew I'd had at least 3L in water bottles plus lots of glasses throughout the day.

DRINKS: 2 yummy Vodka and Soda's with fresh lime - My favourite and yes they were good!

TREATS: Decided to use my Treat meal and Cam and I went out for dinner. We've bought this pack of cards which contains 52 different cards with 52 different restaurants offering 2 for 1 deals so we thought we'd better start using them. Chose to go to one of our favourties "Coolums on the Beach". It was lovely, had some cob loaf with dukkha and Olive Oil to start and had Atlantic Salmon, Asian Greens and Chat potato for main. It was super yummy although my main wasn't too much different from something I'd normally have, maybe just without the potatoes and a bit less oil. I can't seem to go past Salmon on a menu as it's my favourite. Finished off with a small bit of chocolate at home! Perfect

So overall a great day, really enjoyed my treat but didn't feel I went crazy and enjoyed every mouthful. Feeling a bit tired this morning but I think it's just coz I've had a busy week. I'm sure I'll be feeling a million dollars once Cam and I finish Spin.

Anyway gotta fly the class starts in half an hour!

Have a great day!

Nice going Hilds! I enjoy logging in here every few days to read your accounts of how you're going with balancing your busy lifestyle and all!

I LUV salmon! I often can't go past that if I'm out somewhere special either!

I'm still going on my ongoing challenge. Am up to day 21 out of 28 with completely NO alcohol and it's having the desired effect. It's the longest I've gone with none in 10 years. Don't think I'll be having any on day 29 either as it's next Sunday and at this stage there are no special planned parties LOL. Am staying within budget which is easier with no alcohol and will have all debt gone mid May, then I can start my financial plan for more exciting stuff!

Am up to 9kg lost now since Nov and trained well this week. with running and pushups in particular. I'm aiming to smash at least another 5kg off by my 30th birthday in mid July in which I will hit under 68kg.

Keep up the top work!

Pip, it sounds like your blitzing your challenge! Well done on the weight loss and no alcohol, both HUGE achievments.

Yes, I'm a bit of a Salmon lover too, so much so that I'm having it again tonight, although with a big healthy salad this time.

Keep up the great work, it sounds like it won't be long before you've reached all of your goals.
