Safe & Sound!

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick one while I've managed to get on the internet to let you know we are all safe and sound.

We were pretty lucky actually as Cyclone Yasi ended up heading south and Cairns didn't get the worst of it. Although that didn't stop us from spending the night bunked down in the downstairs bathroom wondering what was happening (not the best thing to do with a 6 week old baby!).

Anyway it all turned out ok and we are all fine and no damage to anything. Little Braden actually slept through the whole thing and was a little angel.

So now we are just waiting to have power come back on. It could be up to a few days although have no idea yet. Some suburbs around us are fine and it's very frustrating knowing that we have no power when someone just a few km's away is ok. If we still don't have power tomorrow we are going to check into a hotel as having no aircon and access to the internet and no phones working is a bit of a bugger.

Anyway better go before my laptop battery dies.

I'll be back up and running in a day or two as soon as we get some power back.
